01 — ApproachHow I work

Quietplans.Loudrooms.

An independent resilience practice on the Gold Coast. I work with a handful of organisations at a time — embedded long enough to leave behind a capability, not just a document.

01

Plans that hold up when the room gets loud — not just when the auditor visits.

02

Exercises designed to surface what your team actually does under pressure, not what the binder says they should.

03

From the Gold Coast, working with organisations across Australia and New Zealand. Calls answered. Plans tested. Boards briefed straight.

What I do best.

01Continuity & response

Plans

Continuity, incident, and crisis plans written in language your executives will actually use at 2am — short, specific, and testable.

02Impact analysis

BIAs

Business Impact Analysis run as a structured conversation, not a spreadsheet drop. Critical services, real tolerances, signed-off trade-offs.

Exercises

Scenario exercises designed to actually stress your team — tabletop, functional, and full simulations across executive, operational, and technical layers.

04Capability & governance

Uplift

Programme uplift, regulator alignment (CPS 230, DORA, ISO 22301), and the quiet governance work that turns a plan into a capability.

03 — About meChris Adams · MBCI · CCRP

A career spent
under pressure.

I'm Chris — a business continuity and operational resilience consultant based on the Gold Coast, working with organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

The last decade has been spent inside the rooms where it matters: leading the global resilience function of a Fortune 100 financial services firm, building continuity capability across government-delivered human services, and running the international response to COVID-19 for an organisation of six thousand staff across roughly eighty offices.

Before that, a UK policing career as a detective and criminal caseworker — which is where the rest of it comes from. The structured decision-making, the reading of a room mid-incident, the ability to hold a calm posture when the information is bad and the clock is short. None of that is on a slide deck. All of it shows up in the work.

I take on a handful of engagements at a time. Each one is built around the same idea: leave behind a capability the organisation owns, not a binder that depends on me being in the room.

04 — ProcessFrom first call to launch

How it
works.

01

Scope

A first conversation about what you actually need to protect, who depends on it, and what good would look like twelve months from now. No proposal-ware.

02

Diagnose

Targeted discovery — critical services, dependencies, current arrangements, regulatory context. A clear read of where you are and where the gaps actually sit.

03

Build

BIAs, plans, and governance designed to be used. Written with your people, not at them. Short, specific, testable, signed-off in language a board will defend.

04

Test

Scenario exercises that stress the system end-to-end. Findings turned into uplift, uplift turned into rehearsal — until the capability holds without me in the room.
